Merry Fucking Christmas with Oasis!! [part 1]

Desculpem-nos por estarmos postando num ritmo mais lento, mas acredito que valeu a pena pelo post que fizemos em comemoração do Natal. Nada mais, nada menos, do que uma das melhores bandas do mundo: OASIS!
We're sorry for posting in a slower pace, but we believe that it was all worthwhile because of the post we've done in celebration of Christmas. Nothing more, nothing less than one of the world's best bands ever: OASIS!

A banda lançou o seu primeiro álbum, o Definitely Maybe em 8 de agosto de 1994 e foi considerado o álbum de estréia mais rapidamente vendido da história!
The band released its first album, Definetely Maybe, in August 8th 1994 and it was considered the fastest released album sold in history!

Em 2 de outubro de 1995, surgiu o (What's The Story) Morning Glory, álbum que definiu o movimento chamado britpop e também de onde saiu o hit Wonderwall. Este cd vendeu na época mais de 20 milhões de discos, marca que hoje ultrapassa os 30 milhões.
In October 2nd 2005, came up (What's The Story) Morning Glory, the album which defined the britpop movement and where also came out the hit Wonderwall. This album sold, at the time, more than 20 millions of copies, number that today is over than 30 millions.

Em 21 de agosto é lançado o "Be Here Now", onde várias lojas abriram na madrugada especialmente para vender o álbum. Isso foi literalmente "sucesso da noite para o dia"
In August 21st "Be Here Now" is released, when many stores opened their doors at night to sell this album. This was literally an "overnight success".

No ano de 1998, uma excelente coletânea de B-sides (para quem não sabe, B-sides são músicas que não entraram oficialmente em álbum), chamada The Masterplan, onde inclui a linda música homônima. Sua data de lançamento foi em 3 de novembro de 1998.
In the year of 1998, an excellent collection of B-Sides (for those who don't know, B-sides are songs that didn't get officially into an album), called The Masterplan, where is the beautiful namesake. Its realease date was in November 3rd 1998.

No ano seguinte, Paul Bonehead e Paul McGuigan, respectivamente guitarrista e baixista, deixam a banda. Gem Archer e Andy Bell assumem o lugar dos Pauls e gravam com a banda o álbum Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, mais eletrônico e psicodélico e também com a primeira composição do Liam com a música "Little James", lançado em 28 de fevereiro de 2000. No mesmo ano, em 13 de novembro, Oasis faz um show histórico no Estádio de Wembley, de onde sai o seu primeiro álbum ao vivo. Em 1 de julho de 2002, é lançado o seu 5º álbum de estúdio, o Heathen Chemistry. Neste, encontra-se o único single da banda composta por Liam Gallagher, a simples e bonita "Songbird".
At the next year, Paul Bonehead and Paul McGuigan, respectively, guittar and bass, left the band. Gem Archer and Andy Bell take the Pauls' places and record with the band the album Standing on The Shoulder of Giants, more electronic and psichodelic and also with Liam's first composition, the song "Little James", released in February 28th 2000. In the same year, in November 13th, Oasis performs a historical show at Wembley Stadium, from where comes out their first live album. In July 1st 2002, their fifth studio album is released, Heathen Chemistry. In this one, it can be found Liam's first single, the simple and beautiful "Songbird".

Após 3 anos sem lançamentos, sai do forno em 31 de maio de 2005, o excelente álbum Don't Believe The Truth, onde a sua última música, Let There Be Love é um dueto de Liam e Noel.
20 de novembro de 2006 é lançada a primeira coletânea da banda, porém, sem nenhuma música inédita. O álbum chama-se Stop The Clocks.
After 3 years with no releases, the excellent Don't Believe The Truth comes out of the oven in May 31st 2005, where the last song - Let There be Love - is a duet of Liam and Noel. November 26th 2006 is released the first collection of the band, however, without any new song. The album is called Stop The Clocks.

Por fim, em 6 de outubro de 2008 surge o então esperado "Dig Out Your Soul", oitavo álbum de estúdio da banda. A canção "The Shock Of The Lightning" é o seu primeiro single, seguido de "I'm Outta Time", escrita por Liam onde além desta, há mais duas composições do Our Kid.
In conclusion, in October 6th 2008 comes up the expected Dig Out Your Soul, eighth studio album of the band. The song The Shock of The Lightning is the first single of the album, followed by I'm Outta Time, written by Liam - which is one of Our Kid's three songs.

Depois do sucesso do disco Polaris (que você pode baixá-lo e saber mais sobre o álbum e a banda clicando aqui), Pública lançará em 2009 o seu segundo álbum intitulado "Como Num Filme Sem Um Fim". Este virá também com um dvd documentário.
Ainda não disponibilizaram o álbum na net para download, mas para matarmos a curiosidade, ele poderá ser ouvido no My Space da banda até hoje. Portanto, não percam tempo!
A produção está excelente, investiram em metais e cordas. Enfim, perdoem-me pela expressão mas é um álbum foda! Sinal de que o rock nacional ainda tem salvação.

Cast - Discografia

Cast foi uma banda formada em Liverpool, em 1993 por John Power, o ex-baixista do The La's e Peter Wilkinson, o ex-baixista dos Shack.
A banda disponibilizou quatro álbuns entre 1995 e 2001. Liam Gallagher, do Oasis, uma vez descreveu-as como uma das poucas bandas contemporâneas que ele realmente gostava. Apesar do grupo continuar a liberação dos registros, após a queda do movimento Britpop no final dos anos 90, seu sucesso comercial morreu com o movimento e eles não são geralmente considerados como Britpop "sobreviventes".
Particularmente, eu concordo com todas as palavras de Liam Gallagher e tenho certeza de que vocês também concordarão. Enfim, vamos aos downloads!

The Kooks

A banda foi formada pelo vocalista e guitarista Luke Pritchard e o baixista Max Rafferty quando estes ainda estudavam no Hoover High School. Mais tarde para completar a formação original entraram o guitarrista Hugh Harris e o baterista Paul Garred. Max Rafferty, no entanto, deixou a banda no início de 2008, em seu lugar entrou Dan Logan.

O nome The Kooks foi tirado do álbum "Hunky Dory", 1971 de David Bowie.

A banda além de ser ótima, é de Manchester e conta com dois integrantes que são irmãos. Te lembra algo? Pois é, mas as coincidências [talvez] não parem por aí. A banda dos irmãos Williams é mais uma da safra do britpop, tão conhecida pelos irmãos Gallaghers.

Doves teve sua formação inicial baseada na música eletrônica, ainda quando levava o nome de Sub Sub, mas hoje em dia o elemento eletrônico serve apenas pra abrilhantar ainda mais a banda.
