Mais uma apresentação em áudio do BBC Electric Proms, dessa vez, com a banda Doves. Se há uma coisa que me chama a atenção nestas apresentações, são os arranjos. E neste show, não é diferente: a banda toca com a London Bulgarian Choir, um belíssimo coral. Também conta com uma participação especial do músico clássico indiano Baluji Shrivastav, na canção Birds Flew Backwards.

Elbow - Discografia

Elbow é uma banda de rock inglês, nascida em Manchester. A banda é formada pelo vocalista e letrista Guy Garvey, o guitarrista Mark Potter, o tecladista Craig Potter, o baixista Pete Turner e o baterista Richard Jupp. A banda tem o nome de uma linha na TV mini-série da BBC "The Singing Detective"; um personagem (Philip Marlow) diz que a palavra "cotovelo" é a palavra mais sensual no idioma Inglês, e não para a sua definição, mas pelo modo como ele sente-se a dizer.
Aclamada pelo seu som inovador, Elbow tem recebido elogios da crítica e foi endossado por grandes artistas como Radiohead, Coldplay, Blur, REM, U2 e apesar do sucesso comercial menor durante grande parte da sua carreira, desde que conquistou o 2008 Mercury Music Prize de seu quarto álbum, The Seldom Seen Kid, o sucesso comercial está finalmente começando a corresponder a aclamação da crítica e status entre os fãs.
